Using Probiotics with Digestive Enzymes

Posted by Marjolein Brugman on Wednesday, December 8, 2010

I believe that most digestive problems can be alleviated simply by adding probiotics into your daily diet but if regular probiotics haven't relieved your heartburn, indigestion, gas, bloating, or more uncomfortable digestive issues then you need to consider digestive enzymes.

In order to break down the food you eat into the essential nutrients needed for optimum health you need an assortment of enzymes made in the mouth, the stomach and intestines. Unfortunately by the time you are 40 your ability to make these enzymes decreases by 20-30%.

I recommend a blend of digestive enzymes, to break down proteins, glucose molecules, starches, sugars, and fats. Supplementing daily with the complete range of digestive enzymes not only reduces digestive discomfort, but also ensures that your body gets the nutrition it needs from your food.
