hey mrsbob,

The weather is still nasty were I'm at. I live in the Midwest. What part of Oregon do you live in? I have family Portland. If I get to my workout in today I will be doing it later and I'm going for my June Kahn.
I do enjoy doing just the rebounding with my ipod on. Well mrsbob you have a nice day I will p[ost if I get my workout in.

Keep jumping, Sydney

Nope, didn't come today...we don't get mail on Sunday, so I wasn't expecting it. I got the Pilates Power workout - it sounds like a good instructional one. I have a really hard time coordinating the breathing with the moves....I always want to breath in when she says breath out and I breath out when she says breath in. I spend so much time thinking about my breathing....but I know it's important.

My eating has been off this weekend too....but I'm getting my act back together! Really, I am.

My legs feel like jello this morning! I actually did 30 minutes of the rebounder! I watched a tv show on my computer to help with the boredom. I also wore my heart monitor and wasn't too happy with how long it took to get my heart rate up. Not sure what to do about this, maybe run up and down my stairs a few times before starting the rebounding would give it a headstart.

Anyway, I feel like I did a thousand lunges this morning....even if it doesn't get my heart rate up as much as I'd like, it's giving my legs an amazing workout! I love it!

How is everybody else doing this morning?

Hi Mrs Bob,

Hope you dont mind me butting in with my experience of the cardio board. I was also a bit disappoitned by how slow my heart rate got up. Now after using it for nearly two years i have a routine where i do first 5 mins on 4 cords using alternate legs. Then 5 mins on 3 cords and 10 mins on 2 cords doing different leg moves. If i have time i do last 10 mins same as first 10mins.

To be honest my exercise bike does get my heart rate up much quicker and higher and keeps it up and i also love it but i feel the aeroboard is great for my abs .

By the way i love reading this thread with all you girls chatting away with each other with words of encouragement and advice. It's great that you are all so friendly and good hearted. I hope you keep it going it really cheers me up when i read it.

Have a great xmasand new year in the US as i will in the UK.

Marie

Hey everyone!
I've been out of commission for the past 5 days. My knee got worse. Was barely able to walk. Needless to say I haven't been able to do a workout AT ALL. Didn't go to work Thursday, Friday, and Monday. Did get to go to the Dr. He prescribed an antiinflamatory (naproxen). Had x-ray done, will get results next Thursday. Dr. states either I twisted it (which I think I did Saturday evening(, or I have arthritis. Hope it's the former.
Anyway, the swelling has gone down considerably. I did get to do some yoga this morning. Going to try a workout with pilates tonight. My range of motion has gotten better but it still is not back to normal.

Syd, I'm glad you're not beating yourself up anymore about the workouts and your eating habits.

Jamie, I agree with Rickie. Everything happens for a reason. Believe, think positively, want it, see it, and it will happen.

Rickie, Glad to know you're still here even if you cannot postHow is your rebounding coming along?

Mrsbob, A few weeks to being 50. You're going to be that hot Mom/Wife/Grandma, but especially just a hot you that you were talking about previously. And boy, all the other wonderful benefits that come with ipilates and rebounding. Glad you're enjoying your new machine.

Prema, Welcome! I've been doing the challenge since 10/28/07. Come join all of us. Keep us informed.

Marie Berry, Feel free to give your input anytime. You're experiences, your thoughts, will help motivate us.
Sandra

hi all,

i'm loving my pilates workout. feel stronger after just one!

is the platform suppose to hit the end of the machine with each exercise. there is a little bump at the end of each exercise as the platform hits. should i be holding the exercise so that the platform doesn't bump, i.e. not going to the edge?

thanks
prema

Hey girls. I took the day off today from rebounding because I'm coming down with something...hopefully I'll feel up to it tomorrow.

Prema, as to the "bumping", I always stop my machine before it gets to that point, but only because it would annoy me and wouldn't seem smooth if I let it do that. I'll be interested to see what everybody else says.

Syd, did you get your June Kahn video yet? I wrote to her and I'm glad I did...she said it was sent out on November 27th, priority mail...so she is going to send another one. Obviously, it got lost.

I didn't intentially ignore some of the stuff directly to me...I just forgot and now I'm tired....really feeling like the flu...I'll come back and reply tomorrow.

Let's kick this board into high gear! I love my reformer so much....I am so happy I made the decision to get it rather than the elliptical!

Ok...goodnight all!

Hi Mrs Bob,

I got my June Kahn DVD day before yesterday. (Mine's came from USA to UK).

The DVD is great. Can be used as a complete workout - over an hour or in sections. (I particularly liked this!)

Hope you get well soon.

Anita,

How many cords did you have on your machine. Try 3...........You should not be bumping............remember to engage your core muscles. Let us know how you get on. Am sure you'll get the hang of it soon.

I only did 10mins cardio today.................... not good.
