I did over 10 minutes on the cardio rebounder without taking a break...! What really helped me was breathing right. I wasn't breathing right before. After 5 minutes I always had to stop for a minute. However, this time I kept going and took deep breaths as I pushed away and exhaled as I came back. I got a big boost of energy and did an additional 5.5 minutes................and worked up a nice sweat. This morning I weighed myself. I am 1/2 lb. lighter than yesterday (of course I am eating light too). Also, I changed positions and did some leg kicks and really varied the jumping. It all helped a lot.

Anyone else have workout tips they would like to share? I'm ready for more tips :)

Hey that's great! I will pay attention to my breathing next time. Yesterday while doing the rebounder I must have been tensing up my shoulders because today they hurt. Rebounding laying down looks easy but it is more then just laying there and jumping, lots to keep in mind. Breathing, posture, I believe that is why it works, your whole body is engaged!

Isn't the "Pilates Breath" is amazing - getting that oxygen to the muscles helps fuel them so they can work longer and keep you from cramping up too.

It makes a huge difference...! Now I am up to 15 minutes and have been raising my arms up in the air as I jump for a few of them... :)

It is interesting how many other forms of exercise don't concentrate on the breathing at all, whereas with Pilates is it fundamental to doing the movements correctly.

I have found simply following the Pilates breathing method has helped enormously when doing other activities, such as swimming for example.

It does make much more sense to inhale and get oxygen to the muscles when you most need it.........rather than the other way around.

Did a full 20 minutes on Saturday...........no breaks, no quadracep cramping. I think my muscles are stronger now and that certainly helps...! Keep going girls... we can do it :)

Hi Ladies, Do you know how well the rebounder works the leg muscles? I really want to get back nice, firm legs like I had when I was about ten years younger!!!!

The rebounder works more on the legs if you use two three or four cords, the more cords the more the legs get worked. Pay attention to the positions Marjolein is using with her legs. She is purposely putting her feet and legs in certain positions to work both the inner and outer leg muscles. Also she changes often and it keeps you from cramping. Watch when she changes the cords. There are several cardio rebounder dvds and the one that came with the pilates performers is different than the one that came with ordering the rebounder extra. I prefer the dvd that came with the performer set up.

I have been reading the message board and is very exciting and motivating to hear all the great success everyone is having with their pilates.

I just got my Aero Pilates about 2 weeks ago, I have been trying to make sure I do it every day or at least 5 days a week. I really like it, I feel it is very relaxing and hoping to see results. I have had some headaches from the rebounder, but from what I'm reading on here, I think it is a breathing thing also. I tried to do it without the video and just do it on my own and I think you get out of sync.

Anyway, I think it is great to see all the support everyone gives each other, and the various tips.

When I was on the rebounder today, I placed one hand on my lower belly and could feel my lower abs. working! Even when I did not feel like I was doing it properly. (I am still learning) This is my tip. Maybe I will get rid of this baby belly ----well maybe not until I eat less chocolate!!

Hey the chocolate thing is ok!! I eat some everyday. Most if it is dark. It's called Green & Blacks. They have all different kinds. I really like it. It costs $3.50 for 3 1/2 ounces. It's costly but it's all organic.

This sounds nutty, but I listen to the Buddha Bar CD's while working out. Very dancey and electronic. I really rebounded for the first time today, and I must say I was getting into some very funky moves: )
