I just found out at 68 I have scoliosis. I have been working on the reformer I got & it is killing me. How can I find out how to use it with what I have?
Thank you

I'm sorry to hear that.
I do not have an answer but I would ask your doctor what exercise is best for you. Print out the information on the machine you have and take it to him/her. You could also email Marjolein and ask for her advice.

Dece,
Truth is, most doctors you ask about this are not going to have a clue about pilates. I was born with scoliosis and I have mentioned pilates to several doctors and they all just give me funny looks. I have used all of Marjolein's dvd's and have found that after time they do help. I do however have difficulty rebounding, it hurts my low back, and I am very care full about doing anything that puts pressure on my neck. I would suggest paying for at least one session in a studio and letting an instructor evaluate you specific needs. |
