Pilates Makes My Day
Looking back, I'm amazed I didn't do myself more harm. The years of
abusing my body are now taking their toll, and a year ago I was in
constant pain from both new and old injuries all down one side of my
body and from an extreme imbalance of strength between my left and
right side. I saw you on QVC while flicking and ordered the Aero TSV
and haven't looked back!
I can't start or end the day without it, and I do mat work several
times a week for an added challenge. I feel more flexible and stronger
for life rather than just for a sport. I'm pain-free and balanced and
very lean and toned. To top it all off I'm a doctor and work far too
many hours and find it a fabulous stress reliever.
I also wanted to ask how I could use the Aero during pregnancy that I'm
planning very soon. Can I mix and match or should I avoid some
exercises? In later pregnancy I know that you shouldn't lie flat but on
one side. Is it still possible to do the lying down warm ups and
exercises but with a cushion wedge so I'm not lying flat? Or would that
cause an imbalance? I'm keener on continuing with the Aero rather than
mat work, as I want the security of the support and correction of the
machine that you don't get with the mat work.
Many thanks for the help and keep up the great work!! Best wishes for 2006.
