Garlic and Colon Cancer

FACT or FICTION: Eating Garlic and Onions reduces the risk of Colon cancer.

The answer is FACT: According to the American Institute for Cancer Research, women who ate 1 clove of garlic a week had a 32% less chance of developing Colon cancer than women who only ate 1 clove of garlic a month or less.

More importantly, the studies done also show that the compounds in garlic and onions when combined with another anti-oxidant compound such as in Tomato actually increase their effectiveness for fighting cancer. So enjoy that Bolognaise or your favorite red sauce over some whole grain pasta today.
