manifestation has changed and so should you

I have written many articles on Manifestation which I truly believe is an ever evolving process.

There was a time in my life when I thought manifestation was about saying the right things. I would stand in front of the mirror and repeat affirmations. I wrote them down and tried to believe them. In many ways, it worked by softening my negative inner voice and gave me hope. It introduced me to the idea that I could participate in shaping my life but there were still moments when something didn’t match.

A situation would arise and suddenly I was reacting emotionally and in a way that felt completely out of alignment with the life I was trying to create. I remember thinking… if I know better, why don’t I do better?

Manifestation is not just about what you think it is about what your body has memorized and your subconscious has internalized.

As you all know I practiced the teachings of Louise Hay, Shakti Gawain, Napoleon Hill, and Esther Hicks.

Affirmations. Visualization. Belief. Frequency: all of which matters but it wasn’t until I recently understood the science behind it that everything truly clicked.

Through the work of Joe Dispenza, we now understand something powerful: your brain is constantly rewiring itself. Every thought you think creates a neural pattern that when repeated only strengthens and every emotion we feel reinforces it. Did you know that out of the 65,000 thoughts you have in a day 90% are the same as the thoughts you had yesterday! Over time, your body memorizes these thought provoked emotions and your body becomes your subconscious mind.

This means that if your body is living in stress, fear, or lack you will keep recreating the same experiences of fear and lack over and over again. Our body is typically programmed for the past based on experiences we register through our 5 senses. Our senses are the red flags that warn us against danger and those warnings are recorded as dangers to be aware of in the future.

I recently discovered the work of Joseph Dispenza who teaches that your brain doesn’t know the difference between reality and your thoughts but if you can retrain your brain to feel your ideal future before it happens, your body will believe it is already real. Your thoughts regulate your body which regulates your biology. The science of epigenetic suggests that your genes are not fixed, they respond to signals from your thoughts and emotions so when you feel gratitude, love, possibility, and trust you are literally changing your body by secreting positive chemicals that in turn begin to change your life.

In Healing Codes we reframe a negative situation by creating a replacement positive one, including what we see, hear, feel smell and sense. The same can happen when we meditate. New positive feelings rewire the brain to step out of the old negative patterns and into possibility stemming from the positive feeling as if it already was. You become aware of your negative thoughts and over reactions and teach your body to respond differently, thus manifesting a new more ideal life.

Years ago, I created my manifestation cards in my garden on Cape Cod. I photographed things that felt beautiful, peaceful and meaningful and I paired those images with appropriate affirmations. At the time, I thought I was creating something inspirational but now I understand I created something much more powerful. Each card is an emotional anchor, not just something you read but something you can feel to rewire your brain throughout the day.

Meditate first thing in the morning for 10 minutes, before you begin your day.

Take a deep breath, hold it and remind yourself…Today is new. Today is open. Today is full of possibility. Exhale all doubt, concern and fear.

Inhale deeply and bring to mind the life you are wanting to create. See it. Feel it. Step into it.

Exhale and feel what that version of you feels like. Calm. Confident. Supported. At ease.

Sit for a few minutes focusing on inhaling a new happy life and exhaling tightness and worry.

Pick a card, read the affirmation, think about how to hold that intention through out the day and expect wonderful things to unfold.

In the evening let go of the day before you go to sleep, take a few moments for yourself and slow down.

Bring your attention to your body, inhale deeply, hold and as you exhale gently soften.

Inhale and think back on your day and find the small quiet moments that felt good. Feel Gratitiude and let it expand in your chest. Exhale and forgive anybody that upset you.

Continue to focus on your breath inhaling gratitude exhaling tension. Relax into peaceful sleep knowing you are safe and protected.

Lastly remember; manifestation is no longer about wishing, it is about becoming, feeling your future before it arrives, rewiring your brain and reconditioning your body to allow life to meet you at a new level. You are not your past, you are your patterns and your patterns can be changed.
